Quarterback Braxton Miller and the Ohio State Buckeyes welcome the California Golden Bears to the Horseshoe on Saturday as the Buckeyes look to open up their 2012 season with three consecutive victories.

Miller has been a force through the air and on the ground, racking up 141 rushing yards and three touchdowns last weekend against the UCF Knights to go with his 155 passing yards. On the year, Miller already has gained more than 300 yards both on the ground and through the air.

California, led by quarterback Zach Maynard and running back Isi Sofele, is coming off of a strong showing against Southern Utah after a tough loss at the hands of the Nevada Wolf Pack during the Golden Bears' opening weekend.

Sofele’s 104 yards against Southern Utah helped put away the Thunderbirds last Saturday. Sofele has rushed for 126 yards and 1 TD on the year.

Maynard has been steady through the first two games, completing more than 50 percent of his passes in both, while accumulating three TDs and one INT.

Game time, TV channel: 12 p.m. ET, ABC

Point spread: Ohio State is favored by 16 over the Golden Bears on Saturday.
