The 18th-ranked Florida Gators and the 23rd-ranked Tennessee Volunteers battle in what figures to be the first of many titanic clashups for supremacy of the SEC East. The Third Saturday in September has generally been dominated by Florida; the Gators have won the last seven matchups in the series. However, this matchup in Knoxville has a chance to be much closer than some of the previous games because of the development of Tennessee's quarterback.

Tyler Bray has been producing at a high level through his first two contests of the 2012 regular season. Bray is in the top five in passing efficiency in the country through two weeks and has made very few mistakes early on. Now he'll have to go up against a strong Florida defensive front that can make life difficult on the ground without needing to bring extra rushers, which could mean Bray will have to make the proper adjustments and try and beat Florida through the air to soften up the defense and open other things up.

Game time, TV channel: 6 p.m. ET, ESPN

Point spread: Tennessee favored by three
