The Boston College Eagles visit the Northwestern Wildcats in Week 3 of the 2012 college football season, with Northwestern looking to remain undefeated and Boston College to move from 1-1 to a winning record.
Boston College Vs. Northwestern Game Time, TV Schedule, Spread And More
The Northwestern Wildcats look to move to 3-0 as they host the Boston College Eagles. The Eagles lost to Miami in Week 1, but rebounded with a 34-3 domination of Maine.

Northwestern's 2-0 record comes as a bit of surprise, given that the Wildcats faced Syracuse and Vanderbilt in their first two games. They won a shootout in Syracuse, 42-41, then held Vanderbilt to 13 points in a 23-13 victory. Junior running back Venric Mark has been key in those efforts, collecting 205 rushing yards through the first two games. He's versatile, too - Mark put up 134 punt return yards against Syracuse, an effort that netted him Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
BC will counter with a pair of strong juniors - quarterback Chase Rettig and wide receiver Alex Amidon. Rettig is averaging 330 yards per game, and Amidon has 16 receptions for 248 yards for the season so far. They should have plenty of chances to connect against Northwestern's passing defense. The Wildcats unit ranks 113th, giving up an average of 349.5 yards per game.
Game time, TV channel: 3:30 p.m. ET, Big Ten Network
Point spread: Northwestern favored by 3-1/2 points
