The aftermath of the BYU Cougars' 24-21 loss against the Utah Utes keeps getting worse as center Houston Reynolds is out for the year after tearing his achilles.

The 6’2 305-pound redshirt junior has been a pillar in the BYU offensive line the past year. He hasn’t missed a Cougars game since a victory over University of Central Florida on Sept. 23, 2011. Last year, Reynolds was part of an offensive line that allowed zero sacks in five different games and two or less in 10 games.
Reynolds is the son of BYU assistant head coach Lance Reynolds. He was an all-state selection after starting for four years at Timpview High School and led them to the 2006 4-A State Championship title. Reynolds battled shoulder injuries last year but still started 10 games.
