More than a month after pleading guilty to a malicious destruction of property charge, Michigan wide receiver Jerald Robinson was sentenced to six months of probation on Tuesday in a Washtenaw District Court according to Mark Snyder of the Detroit Free Press.

Michigan sophomore wide receiver Jerald Robinson was sentenced to six months of probation on Tuesday.
Robinson, a 6’1, 215-pound redshirt sophomore from Canton, Ohio, admitted to lifting and breaking a parking gate during an incident back in February. Due to the fact that the parking company is claiming the young receiver caused $389 worth of damage with his actions, Robinson’s attorney, who is outraged by the number, has delayed the restitution hearing until Oct. 29.
By being sentenced under the Holmes Youthful Trainee Act by Judge Elizabeth Pollard Hines, Robinson will be able to have the conviction wiped from his record if he does not violate the terms of his probation. Although he has already been disciplined internally by head coach Brady Hoke, Robinson now joins teammate Frank Clark as the second Michigan player sentenced using the HYTA this fall.
