TCU announced on Wednesday that RB Waymon James would miss the rest of the 2012 season with a knee injury suffered in the Horned Frogs 20-6 victory over Kansas last Saturday.
Waymon James Injury: TCU Leading Rusher Out For Season
James had been a key cog in TCU’s high powered offensive attack through their first two games of the 2012 season.

James, a 5’8 200 lb junior, had rushed for 168 yards and 1 TD on 19 attempts in 2012, good for a whopping 9.9 yards per carry average.
Along with Matthew Tucker, James formed a 1-2 running combination that has allowed the Frogs to weather the loss of Ed Wesley to the NFL's Supplemental Draft over the summer.
James was coming off a strong 2011 season that saw him rush for 875 yards and 6 TDs on 121 carries.
Now, without James or Wesley, Gary Patterson’s team will need to lean on Tucker, a 6’1 220 lb senior who was being used in more of power back role in 2012.
The Horned Frogs may also give QB Casey Pachall, emerging as a star in his second season as a starter, more of a featured role in their offense. Pachall has an 84.5% completion percentage so far in 2012, throwing for 536 yards, 5 TDs and 0 INTs through two games.
