Joe Kellogg Injury: Boise State Guard Out Vs. BYU

Boise State was dealt a small blow prior to the start of its game against the BYU Cougars, as it was reported that they will be without left guard Joe Kellogg for Thursday. The senior was the starter last season for the Broncos and was expected to be the No. 1 guard this year as well, but injury has kept him off the field. Kellogg has the most experience of any Broncos offensive player, with 24 starts in his collegiate career with Boise State.

The Broncos are expected to start junior Spencer Gerke in his place for Thursday night's game. Gerke has experience spelling Kellogg, as he took over the starting spot twice last season in similar situations.
