USC hasn’t lost to Cal since 2003, and the Trojans will hope to continue their dominance against their in-state rivals as they look to bounce back from last Saturday’s loss to Stanford. Cal will make the trip to the Los Angeles Coliseum on the back of a tough trip to Columbus, Ohio, where they lost to the Buckeyes.

Cal has to improve defensively if it wants to keep the losing streak to USC from reaching nine games this Saturday. The Golden Bears have allowed more than 32 points per game over the course of their first three games this season, ranking them near the worst of the nation.

USC will be looking to exploit that defense as Matt Barkley tries to bounce back from one of the worst outings he's had in his college career. Barkley has already thrown for more than 800 yards and 10 touchdowns in his first three games, and he'll need some big performances if he wants to regain front-runner status in the Heisman trophy race.

Game time, TV channel: The game is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET Saturday. It will be shown on the Pac-12 Networks.

Point spread: USC is an early 16 point favorite, and the over/under has been set at 57 points.
