With running back Rex Burkhead expected back from a knee injury that has kept him on the sidelines, the Nebraska Cornhuskers will welcome the FCS Idaho State Bengals to Lincoln, Neb. for a final tuneup before they begin their Big Ten schedule.

In Burkhead’s absence, Nebraska has relied on sophomore Ameer Abdullah to fill the gap, and he has done so by rushing for 286 yards over the Cornhuskers’ first three games. Quarterback Taylor Martinez has also racked up 176 yards on the ground.
Senior quarterback Kevin Yost leads a potent Idaho State offense, which ranks third in the FCS in yards per game. Yost has passed for 779 yards and four touchdowns in the Bengals’ first two games.
The No. 25 Cornhuskers are coming off a 42-13 victory over Arkansas State after dropping their Sept. 8 meeting with the UCLA Bruins.
