TCU Suspends Skye Dawson For Opening Game

The Horned Frogs will be without one of Casey Pachall’s top targets when they begin the 2012 season against Grambling State on Saturday.

The TCU Horned Frogs were one of the only teams in the Top 25 not to play during the opening week of the college football season.

When they do take the field for the first time in 2012, they'll be doing so without one of their top receivers, as senior WR Skye Dawson has been suspended for their game against Grambling State on Sept. 8:

The 5'9 185 Dawson formed a connection with Horned Frogs QB Casey Pachall as both were major contributors for the first time during the 2011 season. Dawson caught 45 passes for 500 yards and 5 TD's last year.

His loss should not be a big deal against Grambling State, an FCS opponent who will help open TCU’s new Amon Carter Stadium, which underwent serious renovations in order to prepare for the school’s entrance in the Big 12.
