Big East contender Cincinnati will play its first game this season when Pitt arrives at Nippert Stadium Thursday night. Pitt probably wishes it hadn’t played a game yet.

The Panthers suffered an embarrassing 31-17 loss to FCS’s Youngstown State in their opener, and will quickly look to move past that and into the Big East season.

Bearcats QB Munchie Legaux looks to build on a 2011 season in which he replaced injured Zach Collaros. He’s a dual-threat player, and will make plays with his legs as often as defenses will allow him. The key for Pitt will be to contain Legaux, who only completed 47 percent of his passes in 2011.

Game time, TV channel: 8 p.m. ET, ESPN

Point spread: Cincinnati by 3
