The Clemson Tigers will host their first home game of the 2012 season on Saturday afternoon, as the Ball State Cardinals head to Memorial Stadium to take on the Tigers.

Running back Andre Ellington led Clemson to a Week 1 win over the Auburn Tigers, picking up 228 rushing yards on just 25 carries in the 26-19 victory. Despite the lofty yardage total, Ellington didn't reach the end zone. Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd will look to improve on his Week 1 performance, as he was 24-of-34 passing for 208 yards, with a touchdown and an interception each to his credit.
Like Clemson, Ball State is coming off of a Week 1 victory. The Cardinals defeated the Eastern Michigan Eagles, 37-26, in an early MAC contest. Jahwan Edwards led the Cardinals to the victory, rushing for 200 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries.
Edwards should have an opportunity to succeed on Saturday, as Clemson’s defense surrendered 180 yards on the ground against Auburn on 37 carries.
