Spurrier's rushing attack churned out a whopping 205 yards on the ground against Vanderbilt's front seven despite the narrow four-point win, and should once again look to pound the ball inside early on with star tailback Marcus Lattimore against a lackluster ECU defense.
After producing 159 yards from scrimmage (67 passing, 92 rushing) in the opener, South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw remains questionable to suit up after suffering an arm injury against the Commodores. Not having Shaw's dual-threat ability would be an unfortunate blow for Spurrier's run-oriented team even as heavy favorites, as the Pirates will also enter with plenty of confidence after holding Appalachian State to just 3.7 yards per carry last Saturday.
