This is the first game for TCU as a member of the Big 12 as well as the first game after a $164 million renovation for Amon G. Carter stadium and there’s a continued excitement surrounding what has been a very successful football program the past few years.
TCU QB Casey Pachall will lead a potent offensive attack and is perhaps the most underrated quarterback in the country after throwing for more than 3,000 yards and 25 touchdowns in 2011.
Grambling State, who lost to Alcorn State in the first week of the season, will be hard pressed to generate much offense against an impressive Horned Frogs defense led by Stansly Maponga, who was named to the preseason all-Big 12 team after forcing five fumbles and recording 9.0 sacks last season.
