In each of the last two drafts, two guards have been selected in the first round. With Chance Warmack of Alabama and Jonathan Cooper of North Carolina, that trend will continue.
In the exceedingly tough Southeastern Conference, Warmack was dominant this season. He’s a powerhouse at the point of attack and rarely gets pushed back by defensive linemen. Cooper is the quicker of the two and can handle gap-shooting linebackers a little better.
