2013 NFL Draft offensive tackle rankings

Brett Davis-US PRESSWIRE

Coming into this season, Texas A&M left tackle Luke Joeckel was clearly a first-round pick. But the junior was dominant this season and now looks like a top-five pick. Joeckel has the traits of a franchise offensive tackle. He’s powerful, but quick to the edge. He can block equally well in the pass and run game. Really the only questions will come with his height and arm length.
That size could be what makes Michigan’s Taylor Lewan a top-20 pick if he comes out. Although he had an inconsistent season, Lewan is as naturally gifted as any offensive tackle the last few seasons.
Much like his teammate Joeckel, A&M right tackle Jake Matthews developed nicely during his junior season. He doesn’t get the same acclaim as Joeckel, but he profiles as a dependable tackle and a first-round pick.
The senior group of tackles has solid depth as well. Players like Oday Aboushi of Virginia, Eric Fisher of Central Michigan and Lane Johnson of Oklahoma may not be Day 1 picks, but they’re solid players.
