One of the top few teams in the 2013 NFL Draft will inevitably take a quarterback in hopes of rebuilding their franchise, and Mel Kiper Jr. thinks that the only quarterback worth taking would be NC State's Mike Glennon.
2013 NFL Draft: Mike Glennon only QB on Mel Kiper big board
Mel Kiper thinks NC State’s Mike Glennon is the best quarterback available and sees him as a player with lots of room for improvement. Find out why the draft expert thinks Glennon deserves a look over Geno Smith or Matt Barkley.

Most agree that this year’s quarterback class is a relatively weak one, including Kiper: Glennon is the only quarterback he lists among his top 25 players. Although Kiper thinks Glennon is the best quarterback in the draft, he doesn’t think he’s talented enough to be the rock of a team right away:
Kiper notes that Glennon was “a victim of tons of drops” and “the tape will help his case.” The bowl game wasn’t pretty, but Glennon could put on a great showing in Mobile. “I don’t see him as an immediate starter in an ideal situation, but he has a high ceiling. A guy who could actually get better between now and the draft,” Kiper wrote.
Glennon will be one of the key players to watch in the Senior Bowl. As Kiper notes, the senior ended his year on a bad note, tossing three picks in his team’s bowl game -- his third game with three or more interceptions on the year -- but Glennon threw for 4,000 yards while throwing 31 touchdowns against 17 interceptions.
One positive for Glennon is that virtually every other quarterback also had a poor senior year, leading to lots of disagreement over who will be the first quarterback selected. Geno Smith of West Virginia, Matt Barkley of USC, Tyler Wilson of Arkansas, and Ryan Nassib of Syracuse, are generally expected to be the top five quarterbacks off the board.
