The East-West Shrine Game got an unexpected visit on Monday, when Green Bray Packers GM Ted Thompson was spotted at the West practice evaluating prospects.
East-West Shrine Game 2013: Packers GM Ted Thompson makes a visit
The Shrine Game got a visit from Packers GM Ted Thompson, one of the top draft evaluators in the NFL.

Thompson and his front office are widely renowned as one of the top drafters in the NFL. Since taking over the GM position in 2005, Thompson's Packers have gone 78-50, with four playoffs appearance and one Super Bowl title. Thompson is often praised for the seamless transition from Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers, but he's also responsible for giving Rodgers an embarrassment of riches at the receiver position.
The defensive side is where things are more questionable. Despite individual talents like Clay Matthews, B.J. Raji and Sam Shields, injuries and inconsistency have led to breakdowns at the worst times.
No doubt Thompson is at the East-West game looking for more defensive depth, a possible replacement for Charles Woodson, and maybe even a running back who can crack 3.0 yards per carry.
