NFL scouts and media were on hand to take in Tuesday’s practice for the 2013 East-West Shrine Game. College all-star games can go a long way towards improving (or hurting) players’ NFL Draft prospects. Plenty of big name players may be moving up and down draft boards after Tuesday.
East-West Shrine Game 2013: Tuesday morning practice report
Pittsburgh running back Ray Graham and Missouri Western State defensive end David Bass shined during Tuesday’s practice for the 2013 East-West Shrine Game. Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein did not.

Some highlights:
* Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein struggled mightily on the day, according to all accounts. Sports Illustrated draft analyst Tony Pauline called Klein "indecisive" during 7-on-7 drills, and said that the quarterback "pushes the ball" with his throwing motion. Eric Galko of Optimum Scouting said that Klein showed NFL upside on two successful zone option runs, but echoed criticisms about his arm strength, accuracy and decision-making. Klein is ranked No. 15 in Dan Kadar's QB rankings, and may be looking at sixth or seventh selection at best in April.
* Pittsburgh running back Ray Graham, on the other hand, may have helped his stock. CBS draft analyst Dane Brugler said that Graham looked like the quickest player at practice. Galko agreed, noting that despite Graham's size (5-9, 195 pounds), he did a nice job running through tackles. Graham is ranked No. 18 in Kadar's running back rankings.
* Scouts paid close attention to the battle in the trenches. Missouri Western State defensive tackle David Bass may have helped his draft stock more than anyone, according to accounts. Only Arkansas Pine-Bluff left tackle Terron Armstead was able to slow Bass at all on the day, according to Galko. Neither Bass nor Armstead made Kadar's Top 25 defensive ends or offensive tackle rankings.
