2013 Pro Bowl rosters and the NFL Draft

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

If nothing else, this year’s Pro Bowl rosters show how important it is for teams to hit on first-round picks.

There is 86 players on the final Pro Bowl Roster. First rounders account for 37 of them. Although it’s not more than half of the players, it’s the most of any round. The second round is next with 11 players, which is the same amount as undrafted players playing.

Complete Pro Bowl coverage

Of the 11 undrafted players in the Pro Bowl, five of them are specialists. Neither punter went undrafted, however. The AFC’s Dustin Colquitt was taken in the third round and the NFC’s Thomas Morestead was picked in the fifth round.

Four rookies are on the final Pro Bowl rosters. Led by No. 1 pick Andrew Luck, each was a first round pick.
