Quarterback Kyle Padron and wide receiver Brandon Kaufman of the Eastern Washington Eagles have elected to skip their final years of eligibility to enter the 2013 NFL Draft, according to Damond Talbot of NFL Draft Zone.

Padron, 6’3, 232 pounds, played just one season with the Eagles after transferring from Southern Methodist. He had a strong start to his career at SMU, but he left the school after he was benched following a poor showing in the season opener in his junior season in 2011. At Eastern Washington, Padron completed 175-of-296 passes for 2,491 yards with 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Kaufman had a strong season in 2012 with Padron at quarterback, hauling in 93 passes for 1,850 yards and 16 touchdowns. The 6’5, 215-pound receiver had a similar season in 2010, when he caught 76 passes for 1,214 yards and 15 touchdowns, but shoulder surgery forced Kaufman to take a medical redshirt in 2011.
The Eagles finished 11-3 overall but lost to Sam Houston State, 45-42, in the semifinals of the FCS playoffs
