2014 NFL Draft quarterback rankings

Our top 29 quarterbacks eligible for the 2014 NFL Draft.

Andy Lyons

The 2014 NFL Draft quarterback class could become dependent on underclassmen.

At the moment, our top two quarterbacks are underclassmen, and four of our top five prospects at the position have at least one year of eligibility left.

Teddy Bridgewater is still the frontrunner to be the top quarterback off the board and the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. He will graduate in December and has already taken out an insurance policy, so unless he completely fades down the stretch or gets injured, Bridgewater will be entering the draft at the end of the season.

After Bridgewater, UCLA's Brett Hundley, Clemson's Tajh Boyd, Oregon's Marcus Mariota and Stanford's Kevin Hogan round out the top five, Boyd being the only senior of the bunch. The biggest riser in our rankings has been LSU's Zach Mettenberger, who has made strides since his inconsistent junior season.

Stephen Morris of Miami and David Fales of San Jose State have taken slides down our quarterback board, while Fresno State's Derek Carr has taken a considerable step forward. Such is the nature of the quarterback position and the evaluation process. The more we watch, the more we learn, so rankings are fluid.

Here are our top 29 quarterbacks at of Oct. 1. Who’s missing? Who is too high? Who is too low? Let us know in the comments.
