The outside linebacker class is deep in talent, much more so than when the season started. The one known before the season was UCLA's Anthony Barr. While he's not putting up big sack numbers early in the season, he's still the top player at the position. Khalil Mack of Buffalo emerged as a first-round talent against Ohio State. Buckeye Ryan Shazier hasn't done anything to hurt his draft status.
2014 NFL Draft outside linebacker rankings
UCLA’s Anthony Barr continues to top an improving group of outside linebacker prospects.

Jeremiah Attaochu of Georgia Tech and Morgan Breslin of Southern California have also helped their draft status. New names in Miami's Denzel Perryman and Florida's Ronald Powell have made names for themselves as juniors. Perryman is a model weak-side linebacker with athleticism. Powell is a college end who obviously fits at the next level as a 3-4 outside linebacker.
At some point, maybe on the rankings update after this one, we’ll split up the outside linebacker rankings. It’s not really fair, or logical, to compare someone like Shazier (strictly a 4-3 player) to Breslin (more than likely just 3-4 prospect).
