Very few centers are typically taken in the NFL Draft. Three of the last four drafts have had just five picked per year. A whopping six went in 2011.
2014 NFL Draft center rankings

The 2014 NFL Draft should be no different, not only because of tradition but class quality. Oklahoma's Gabe Ikard assumes the top spot for now. He's an athletic center who gets the ball off in a hurry and efficiently gets into his stance. What Ikard may lack in power, he makes up for in movement skills.
For teams looking for more power in the middle, Travis Swanson of Arkansas rates the highest. Razorbacks head coach Bret Bielema has said Swanson is a combination of Peter Konz and Travis Frederick.
