NFL Draft 2013: Tyrann Mathieu has 4th-5th round grade from Mike Mayock
NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock believes former LSU defensive back Tyrann Mathieu will be taken in the fourth or fifth round.

“Tyrann Mathieu is a really interesting wildcard this weekend, and my gut tells me he’s a better football player than he is an athlete... Teams are going to look at him and see him as a nickel and a kick returner... Most teams I’ve talked to have him in the fourth or fifth round.”
“The Honey Badger” was once considered a Heisman finalist after a fantastic 2011 season, but a string of off-field incidents got him dismissed from the team before the 2012 season started. He made a surprise appearance at the Senior Bowl, conducting interviews with teams and hoping to rehabilitate his image.
Mathieu has a lot of talent, but he has some big questions to face at this week’s Combine. The interview session is going to be the most crucial part, but the on-field drills will also be important, as he has to show that he’s not rusty from a year off from football activities. Mathieu remains one of the biggest wild cards in this year’s draft class.
