Central Michigan’s Eric Fisher is out to prove that he is the top of offensive tackle in the 2013 NFL Draft. Speaking at the the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Fisher said that being the top overall pick in April would be “a huge honor and a dream complete.” He will have some work to do in Indy, but Fisher is used to that.
2013 NFL Combine: Eric Fisher out to prove he is the top OT in the draft
Speaking at the NFL Combine, Eric Fisher said that it would be a “dream complete” to be the first overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. Will he succeed?

That Fisher is the near-consensus second offensive tackle taken in the draft is an accomplishment in itself. Dan Kadar has Fisher going No. 11 overall in his latest mock draft. Only Texas A&M's Luke Joeckel is projected to go higher at No. 7 overall. Still, Fisher has a chip on his shoulder, perhaps stemming from his lack of big-name scholarship offers coming out of high school.
Fisher: In HS I was a 230-pound OT. Eastern and Central were only 2 offers.

Fisher now weighs over 300 pounds, and says he has yet to play his best football as he continues to become comfortable with his frame. He wants to put on another 10-15 pounds, too. After a meteoric rise up draft boards kick started by an impressive display at the 2013 Senior Bowl, it’s hard to bet against anything Fisher wants to accomplish.
