NFL Combine 2013: Chiefs GM John Dorsey open to trading No. 1 pick

Kansas City GM John Dorsey says anything is possible with the first pick, including potentially trading it, if the price is right.

Chiefs GM John Dorsey reiterated that he plans on taking the best player available with the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, but left every possibility open -- including the idea that he could be convinced to trade away the top pick.

Many expect the Chiefs, in need of a franchise quarterback, to take a signal-caller with the top pick, but others have said there isn’t a quarterback worth taking in the entire first round this year. It’s no surprise that Dorsey would at least leave the option of making a trade open, as he did Friday when talking to media at the NFL Combine:

When asked about quarterbacks, he said his team plans on interviewing 6-8 players at the position this weekend, but that he wouldn’t talk about them yet because he hasn’t yet sat down with them. With that in mind, he continued to say that his team would take the best player available.

Other than those snippets, Dorsey was about as non-committal as humanly possible. When asked if he knew who the team would take, he had an answer ready:
