Cal cornerback Steve Williams ran the fastest unofficial 40-yard dash time of the 2013 NFL Combine on Tuesday, posting a time of of 4.25 seconds that, if it holds, will just beat out Texas wide receiver Marquise Goodwin's time of 4.27 seconds posted Sunday. NFL Combine results: Steve Williams posts fastest unofficial time of 4.25
Cal cornerback Steve Williams posted the fastest unofficial 40-yard dash time of the 2013 NFL Combine on Tuesday, running the drill in 4.25 seconds.

It's only fitting that the fastest time comes out of a defensive back group that featured 11 players running sub-4.4 seconds. Alabama's Dee Milliner, Mississippi State's Darius Slay, and Washington's Desmond Trufant all ran 4.31 seconds unofficially. Boise State's Jamar Taylor was just behind at 4.32 seconds.
Williams does not appear on SB Nation’s big board Top 100, though he could be a fast riser based on his time. He doesn’t have ideal size at just 5’9, 181 pounds. He excelled as a cover corner with the Golden Bears, however, notching two interceptions with 11 passes defended last season.
