NFL Draft 2013: Dion Jordan faces 3-4 months rehab after surgery

Oregon defensive end Dion Jordan will undergo shoulder surgery next week, and will need 3-4 months of rehabilitation before beginning his NFL career.

Dion Jordan faces 3-4 months of rehabilitation to repair a torn labrum suffered during his last season with the Oregon Ducks. He will undergo shoulder surgery next week now that his NFL Combine is over. He hopes to be ready for the start of training camp before the 2013 season.

"I hurt myself the middle of our season, Colorado game, and it was just an unfortunate event," Jordan said. "I went and made a tackle the wrong way. They say you shouldn't arm tackle and I got the worst of it. But you know, I've dealt with it, I only missed one game last season, I dealt with it, and I feel like it shows my toughness, that I finished the season."

Jordan likely solidified his first-round NFL Draft status with an impressive performance in Indianapolis. Measuring in at 6'6, 248 pounds, Jordan ran a 4.60-second 40-yard dash and showed off his elite explosiveness with a 10'2 broad jump. Currently, he is projected to go No. 6 overall to the Cleveland Browns in SB Nation's latest mock draft.
