Former-Heisman Trophy finalist Tyrann Mathieu tweeted that he worked out with the Cincinnati Bengals on Friday and he is scheduled to meet with the Houston Texans at some point in the next month, according to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.
NFL Draft 2013: Bengals, Texans interested in Tyrann Mathieu
Tyrann Mathieu is expected to be a third- or fourth-round draft pick, according to NFL Network’s Mike Mayock.

The consensus 2011 All-American has had a very solid pre-draft process thus far, as he impressed many with a sub-4.5 40-yard dash and was very forthcoming about his off-the-field troubles that led to his dismissal from the LSU Tigers. On Tuesday morning, NFL Network's Mike Mayock said that he has improved his draft stock some, but still isn't a top 50 prospect:
“I don’t think he’s going to go in the first two rounds, that’s my gut, and from talking to teams, it’s kind of a third or fourth-round pick. That’s what I’m hearing,” Mayock said of Mathieu.
Mathieu, 20, played in just two seasons at LSU before he was dismissed from the team in August 2012. In his sophomore season, he recorded four fumble recoveries, two of which were returned for touchdowns, two interceptions, 76 tackles and 1.5 sacks. He also recorded two punt return touchdowns, and is considered a top prospect for teams in need of a return threat.
