NFL Draft 2013: Matt Scott draws interest from multiple teams

The Browns, Jaguars and Bills each have a need at quarterback and could look at Matt Scott to help at the position.

USA TODAY Sports

Former-Arizona Wildcats quarterback Matt Scott has a few visits lined up in the final month before the 2013 NFL Draft, as he's scheduled to visit the Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills, according to John Kryk of the Toronto Sun.

Scott, 22, served as the back-up quarterback for Nick Foles for three seasons before taking over as the starter in 2012. While he didn't have a huge season in the role, he showed many of the developmental skills that are attractive to NFL scouts.

According to Kryk, Scott previously met with the Philadelphia Eagles and will begin his tour of visits soon. Each the Browns, Jaguars and Bills have a need at the quarterback position, although the Browns and Jaguars each addressed that need with first round selections in the 2012 and 2011 drafts, respectively.

However, neither Brandon Weeden nor Blaine Gabbert have worked out too well so far and new regimes in both Cleveland and Jacksonville don't necessarily have loyalty to the incumbent starter. The Jaguars previously showed interest in Scott at his pro day where he reportedly "looked great."

In his senior season, Scott finished with 3,620 yards passing with 27 touchdowns and 14 interceptions as the Wildcats finished with an 8-5 record and a win in the New Mexico Bowl.
