The Buffalo Bills will host a private workout with former Tennessee quarterback Tyler Bray this Saturday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Bills are apparently pulling out all of the stops for the visit, sending general manager Buddy Nix, assistant GM Doug Whaley and new head coach Doug Marrone.
NFL Draft 2013: Bills will have workout with Tyler Bray
The Bills are sending Buddy Nix, Doug Whaley and Doug Marrone to work out Tyler Bray on Saturday. Just how serious is the Buffalo’s interest?

The Bills are in need of a starting quarterback after cutting ties with Ryan Fitzpatrick this offseason. Bray certainly fits the physical mold of an NFL quarterback, standing 6'6 and weighing in at 232 pounds. Few would argue that he doesn't have one of the best arms in the 2013 NFL Draft class. His inconsistency during his junior year with the Volunteers has kept him out of the first round of most mock drafts since he declared for the NFL, however.
Bray fell just short of completing 60 percent of his passes in each of his three seasons in college. Poor footwork and occasionally even poorer decision making led to accuracy issues in college, according to Matthew Fairburn’s scouting report. Bray had off-field issues as well, specifically an incident involving beer bottles and a parked car.
The Bills own the No. 8, No. 41 and No. 71 picks in the NFL Draft. It would surprise just about everyone who follows such things if Bray landed in the top 10 of the draft. Then again, the Bills wouldn’t send such a high-powered contingent if they weren’t seriously interested.
Bray currently ranks as SB Nation's No. 5 quarterback in his class behind Geno Smith, Matt Barkley, Mike Glennon and Tyler Wilson.
