2013 NFL Draft safety rankings

Joe Robbins

After a few weak drafts at safety, the position has become somewhat thin across the league. The positional value may prevent a ton of safeties from coming off the board in the first round, but with the talent at the position in 2013, a day two run is likely.

Kenny Vaccaro still checks in as our clear-cut top safety. He has as much balance as any safety in this class, showing an ability to cover players in the slot and fill lanes against the run. Florida International's Jonathan Cyprien is a player that has the world's attention after an outstanding senior season. He has a chance to be a first round pick as well.

Look for between 8-12 safeties to be off the board by the end of day two.
