NFL Draft 2013: Eagles cancel Dee Milliner’s visit

Philadelphia reportedly won’t be working out the highly-touted Alabama corner.

The Philadelphia Eagles cancelled a pre-draft workout with former Alabama Crimson Tide cornerback Dee Milliner, according to a report from Jeff McLane of Philly.com on Thursday.

Milliner, the draft’s top-rated cornerback prospect according to SB Nation’s Dan Kadar, was going to visit new head coach Chip Kelly and the Eagles sometime this week before the team scrapped the meeting for unknown reasons. Milliner informed The Inquirer of this new development on Thursday.

Philadelphia owns the fourth overall pick in this year's draft and has reportedly already met with highly regarded prospects over the last few weeks including offensive linemen Luke Joeckel and Eric Fisher, outside linebacker Dion Jordan, defensive tackles Sharrif Floyd and Star Lotulelei, defensive end Ziggy Ansah and quarterback Geno Smith.

The Eagles are projected to take Fisher in Matthew Fairburn's latest mock draft for SB Nation, while Milliner is currently slated to go to the Cleveland Browns with the sixth overall selection. This cancellation could simply mean that the Eagles are trying to narrow down their options.
