Former California Golden Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen made a trip back to Indianapolis for another medical check on his right ankle in early April, according to a report from ESPN on Thursday.
NFL Draft 2013: Keenan Allen had right ankle rechecked in April
Allen reportedly went back to Indianapolis to get another check on the medical status of his right ankle.

Allen's recent return to Indianapolis was, however, not related to drug testing. In a letter from the NFL Combine included in ESPN's report, the reason for his visit was for a medical recheck of his right ankle. Whatever issues Allen may be having with his ankle join the knee problems that kept him out of combine workouts as well as California's Pro Day activities. He was able to go through a private workout for scouts last week though.
This comes on the heels of a report earlier this week that stated Allen was red-flagged at the NFL Combine after a drug test revealed suspiciously high water levels in the wideout's system. J.T. Johnson, Allen's agent, says that Allen didn't fail any drug test, and that there was no red flag issued over his drug test at the Combine. He was not retested nor was he asked to be retested.
Allen is rated as the draft's No. 2-rated wide receiver by SB Nation's Dan Kadar and the 19th overall prospect on Kadar's big board. In Matthew Fairburn's latest mock draft for SB Nation, Allen is projected to go to the Minnesota Vikings with the 23rd overall pick in the first round.
