With just a few weeks remaining before the 2013 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs haven't made a decision who the top player is, but they've narrowed the candidates down to four, according to NFL.com's Albert Breer, who spoke with Chiefs general manager John Dorsey on Monday.

Of course, it wasn’t revealed who the four players are, so it’s anyone’s guess, but it’s likely fair to guess that the team wouldn’t be wasting its time in April meeting with a player that isn’t under consideration.
One such player that met with the Chiefs on Monday and will continue to spend time with them Tuesday is West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith. After trading to acquire Alex Smith from the San Francisco 49ers and signing Chase Daniel in free agency, the selection of a quarterback would be a surprising move, which has led many to believe that the interest in Smith is instead a ruse designed to stir up trade interest for the top pick.
The list of other prospects that have met with the Chiefs is long and includes Texas A&M offensive tackle Luke Joeckel, currently considered by most to be the favorite to be the top pick. Along with Smith and Joeckel, one guess at the other two candidates could include Central Michigan offensive tackle Eric Fisher and Oregon outside linebacker Dion Jordan.
Other possibilities include each of the three interior defensive lineman, Missouri's Sheldon Richardson, Florida's Sharrif Floyd and Utah's Star Lotulelei, each of whom would have a better chance at starting right away for the Chiefs than Smith or Jordan.
The Chiefs will officially go on the clock at 8 p.m. ET on April 25.
