2013 NFL Draft: Eagles narrow selection down to 4 players

The Philadelphia Eagles are closing in on a target for their first-round selection in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Russ Isabella-US PRESSWIRE

The Philadelphia Eagles have narrowed down their choice with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft to four potential players, according to Albert Breer of the NFL Network. Breer indicated that "the likelihood is they go with either an offensive lineman or a defensive front player."

If the Eagles are down to four players along the offensive line and defensive front, it would mean that they have ruled out taking West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith with their first selection. While the organization may have decided against using the No. 4 pick on Smith, Breer reported that they may target quarterback E.J. Manuel out of Florida State with their second-round pick.

Breer indicated offensive tackles Luke Joeckel, Eric Fisher, and Lane Johnson as well as defensive end/outside linebacker Dion Jordan and defensive tackle Star Lotulelei as potential Eagles picks. Mocking the Drat has the Eagles taking Lotulelei with the No. 4 pick. In addition to the players Breer mentioned, defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd and guard Chance Warmark are expected to be top 10 picks on Thursday night.
