2013 NFL Mock Draft: Chiefs opt for Eric Fisher in final prediction

After months of preparation, the 2013 NFL Draft is here. Time for one last attempt at a mock draft. Update: And we’re live! Check out all the first-round picks here.

Debby Wong-USA TODAY Sports

The 2013 NFL Draft is brutal. We’ve been putting weekly mocks together since December, and I can’t recall the last time there was so much uncertainty in a draft. We don’t publish mock drafts simply to make differences and hook you back every week. We base our mocks on what makes sense at the time and try to fit in the current buzz as much as possible.

My final 2013 mock draft is no different. The hope is this is accurate. It won’t be – not by a long shot.

There are going to be a lot of trades in the first round. I didn’t do any trades. Some of these picks will be right (hopefully). Some will be wrong, and some of those we probably had right in January. Such is the conflict of writing about the NFL Draft and nothing else.

Make sure you check out Matthew Fairburn’s mock draft here. If you have some time, listen to me on the great Solid Verbal podcast right here. Make sure to post your own mock draft in the comments. Join us right here throughout the first round for coverage of every pick and angle.

Now, here is my final 2013 mock draft.
