After just three quarterbacks were taken in the first three rounds of the 2013 NFL Draft, four were taken in the fourth round. The results of each pick will vary, but here are some predictions on how they’ll fit with their new teams.
2013 NFL Draft results: Finding fits on 4th round QBs

Pick: Matt Barkley, Southern California
Fit: The immediate reaction is that Barkley isn’t a fit for Chip Kelly’s offense because he’s not an athletic runner. But Kelly’s offense is predicated on running at a fast pace and putting opposing defenses on their heels. Because of Barkley’s on-field intelligence, he fits. And don’t forget that Philadelphia’s offensive coordinator is Pat Shurmur, a West Coast disciple. There will be plenty of routes in the pass game that cater to Barkley’s strengths.

Pick: Ryan Nassib, Syracuse
Fit: By the time the Giants came up at pick No. 110 in the fourth round, Nassib was reportedly the top player left on their board. If you live as strictly by the best player available credo that Jerry Reese does, take him. At the worst, the Giants have a good backup that can be developed into future assets.

Pick: Tyler Wilson, Arkansas
Fit: The initial thought was that the Eagles jumped Oakland to get Barkley. But for the Raiders, Wilson is a nice choice. Could Matt Flynn lose the starting job to a rookie for the second consecutive year? It's possible if Wilson plays like he did for Arkansas in 2011. The talent is there with Wilson. He's also tough player who will step up into the pocket and can take a hit. The Raiders want to continue developing Terrelle Pryor, but Wilson could blow right past him on the depth chart.
Pick: Landry Jones, Oklahoma
Fit: Jones is drafted purely to be a backup for Ben Roethlisberger. In the fourth round, there's nothing wrong with taking a backup quarterback. The Steelers surely needed one as much as any team. Much like Nassib pick, at worst this could be a developed player traded in a couple years for a higher pick than the one used on him.
