Houston Cougars defensive back D.J. Hayden will work out for the Texans on April 22 and has 13 visits to NFL teams planned in the lead up to the draft, according to Gil Brandt of NFL.com. Hayden is working his way up some draft boards thanks in part to his performance at the Cougars' pro day.
NFL Draft 2013: D.J. Hayden to work out for Texans
The defensive back will visit the Texans and a bunch of other NFL teams in the coming weeks.

Draft analyst Mike Mayock considers Hayden the third-best cornerback available, while SB Nation's Dan Kadar has him at No. 11. Hayden ran a 4.33 40-yard dash at his pro day and has a 33.5-inch vertical leap.
He spent two seasons playing for the Cougars after transferring in from a junior college, and he earned first-team All-Conference USA honors in 2012 despite playing in only nine games. He finished his Cougars career with 127 tackles and six interceptions, three of which he returned for touchdowns.
