2014 NFL Draft defensive end rankings

Jeff Blake-US PRESSWIRE

Yes, the defensive end rankings for the 2014 NFL Draft are Jadeveon Clowney and everyone else, but there is some talent after the South Carolina junior.

For now, we have Notre Dame's Stephon Tuitt rated as the No. 2 defensive end. That's mostly a consequence of not listing 3-4 players separately. Tuitt is almost exclusively a 3-4 end, but he's a very good one. He has the kind of length and power 3-4 teams will covet.

After Clowney, the best traditional 4-3 end prospect is Tuitt's former teammate Aaron Lynch. Although he only played a season at Notre Dame before transferring over to South Florida, Lynch shows the kind of speed to turn the corner and chase the ball carrier. Another redshirt sophomore to keep in mind is Deion Barnes of Penn State. In his first season in State College, Barnes flashed potential several times finishing with 10 tackles for loss, six sacks and three forced fumbles.

Here is our initial defensive end rankings for the 2014 NFL Draft. Did we miss anyone? Let us know in the comments.
