2014 NFL Draft offensive tackle rankings

Can the 2014 offensive tackle class live up to 2013’s historic group?

Thomas Campbell-US PRESSWIRE

2013 was the year of the offensive tackle. Three tackles were drafted in the first four picks and for the first time in history, a pair of tackles came off the board to start the draft.

With Jake Matthews, Cyrus Kounadjio and company, the 2014 NFL Draft is similarly talented in the trenches. Matthews checks in as our No. 1 offensive tackle and is in a tier of his own. Koundjio, Taylor Lewan and Antonio Richardson comprise the next tier but all have certain aspects of their game that need refining.

Meanwhile, two physical specimen, Cameron Erving and Seantrel Henderson, will make the ACC a strong offensive tackles conference this fall. Henderson may be the biggest riser in the class if he proves to have his head on straight and consistently comes ready to play in 2013.
