2014 NFL Draft guard rankings

Chance Warmack isn’t walking through that door.

US PRESSWIRE

Don't get used to two guards coming off the board in the top 10 of the NFL Draft. A lot about what happened in the 2013 NFL Draft was abnormal, including the high price teams paid for guards.

2014 shouldn't be quite the same, though there is another interesting crop of guards eligible for the draft. Stanford's David Yankey takes our top spot due to his athleticism and experience playing all over the line of scrimmage. Baylor's Cyril Richardson is plus-sized guard with the athleticism to match, while Mississippi State's Gabe Jackson relies on his pure power.

Xavier Su’a-Filo is the most intriguing underclassmen to track this year. He’s a mobile guard with the ability to pull and make plays in space at the second level.

Here’s our full preseason list.

1. David Yankey | 6'5, 313 pounds | Guard | Stanford
