2015 NFL Draft order: Raiders firmly hold No. 1 pick; Jim Harbaugh trade rumors complicate things

Oakland is the only team with a single win after Jacksonville won on Sunday. If the Raiders make a move for Jim Harbaugh, though, things could get interesting.

The Oakland Raiders inched closer to having the No. 1 pick in the 2015 NFL Draft by losing to the St. Louis Rams on Sunday. That makes Oakland the only team with one win on the season. While strength of schedule tiebreakers had Oakland at No. 1 before Sunday, the Jacksonville Jaguars' win gives the Raiders an easier path to the first pick.

Update: Read our NFL Draft 2015 positional rankings.

What happens with the San Francisco 49ers and head coach Jim Harbaugh could complicate the draft order, however. There was a report early Sunday that the 49ers could opt to trade Harbaugh after the season and the Raiders may be interested.

This wouldn't be the first time in recent history that draft picks were exchanged for a coach. In 2002, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers gave up two first-round picks and two second-round picks to get Jon Gruden. In 2000, the New England Patriots gave up a first-round pick to hire Bill Belichick from the Jets. The teams also exchanged picks later in the draft.

If the cost for Harbaugh is a first-round pick, is giving up the No. 1 overall pick too rich for the talent-deficient Raiders?
