NFL Network's Mike Mayock updated his draft rankings to reflect the 2014 NFL Combine. Running back Bishop Sankey and defensive tackle Aaron Donald were two of the biggest movers, both rising from third to the top of their respective position groups.
Mike Mayock’s NFL Draft rankings: Aaron Donald, Bishop Sankey surge up boards
Aaron Donald and Bishop Sankey are now the top ranked defensive tackle and running back, respectively, in Mike Mayock’s post-NFL Combine rankings.

In the Feb. 17 edition of his rankings, Mayock tabbed Carlos Hyde of Ohio State as the top running back in the draft class, but after Sankey tested as one of the most explosive athletes in Indianapolis, he passed Hyde for the No. 1 spot. In SB Nation's rankings, compiled by Matthew Fairburn and Dan Kadar, Sankey is also ahead of Hyde, but ranked as the No. 3 running back in his class:
| RB | Mayock (Feb. 17) | Mayock (March 3) | SB Nation |
| 1 | Carlos Hyde (Ohio State) | Bishop Sankey (Washington) | Ka'Deem Carey (Arizona) |
| 2 | Jeremy Hill (LSU) | Carlos Hyde (Ohio State) | Lache Seastrunk (Baylor) |
| 3 | Bishop Sankey (Washington) | Jeremy Hill (LSU) | Bishop Sankey (Washington) |
| 4 | Andre Williams (Boston College) | Andre Williams (Boston College) | Carlos Hyde (Ohio State) |
| 5 | Tre Mason (Auburn) | Tre Mason (Auburn) | Charles Sims (West Virginia) |
Pittsburgh defensive tackle Aaron Donald made the same jump as Sankey. In Mayock’s update, Donald swapped spots with Notre Dame’s Louis Nix, who fell from No. 1 to No. 3.
| DT | Mayock (Feb. 17) | Mayock (March 3) | SB Nation |
| 1 | Louis Nix (Notre Dame) | Aaron Donald (Pittsburgh) | Ra'Shede Hageman (Minnesota) |
| 2 | Timmy Jernigan (Florida State) | Timmy Jernigan (Florida State) | Louis Nix (Notre Dame) |
| 3 | Aaron Donald (Pittsburgh) | Louis Nix (Notre Dame) | Tim Jernigan (Florida State) |
| 4 | Ra'Shede Hageman (Minnesota) | Ra'Shede Hageman (Minnesota) | Aaron Donald (Pittsburgh) |
| 5 | Dominique Easley (Florida) | Kelcy Quarles (South Carolina) | Dominique Easley (Florida) |
Other notable changes on Mayock’s rankings include a swap of Texas A&M’s Jake Matthews and Auburn’s Greg Robinson atop the offensive tackle rankings. After an impressive Combine, Robinson is now Mayock’s top-ranked offensive tackle.
Mayock's quarterback rankings went unchanged at the top. Further down, he put Eastern Illinois passer Jimmy Garoppolo in a tie with Alabama's A.J. McCarron at the No. 5 position. Neither Garoppolo nor McCarron are in the top five for Fairburn and Kadar, although they agree with Mayock that Teddy Bridgewater is the best of the class.
