2014 NFL mock draft: Odell Beckham, Jr to Kansas City Chiefs at No. 23
Andy Reid is the master chef in Kansas City, and for his next great recipe, he could really use a speedy wide receiver.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports
Year one of Andy Reid was a rousing success for the Kansas City Chiefs, who transformed from a 2-14 team and holders of the No. 1 overall pick into a playoff team in just one season. In order to take the next step, the Chiefs may as well go all in on Reid and find more toys for him to play with on offense, right? Joel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride says that’s exactly what most Chiefs fans are expecting to happen this spring.

”With safety Ha’Sean Clinton-Dix and receiver Brandin Cooks off the board, the Chiefs address the receiver position, which is something they tried to do in the offseason (Emmanuel Sanders, ahem). Beckham provides speed on the outside which the Chiefs have been missing. He’s also a solid return man and the Chiefs just lost a player like that in Dexter McCluster. Beckham allows Andy Reid to open up more of his playbook to stretch the defense and open things up for Jamaal Charles. Most Chiefs fans believe this pick will be a receiver.”
Dan Kadar, our hard-working NFL Draft analyst, has some thoughts and opinions to share on the Chiefs' mock draft pick of Beckham:
In this mock draft, the Chiefs are sort of fortunate that Cooks was taken before Beckham. That’s not to say anything negatively about Cooks, either. Beckham is just the better player. He has better hands, has a greater catch radius and has history of running a more diverse route tree. In the right system, Beckham could develop into the best wide receiver in this year’s draft.
