2016 NFL Combine results: Ohio State’s Darron Lee blows away the field

Lee out-ran most wide receivers at the NFL Combine with his time of 4.43 seconds in the 40-yard dash.

Ohio State linebacker Darron Lee was already considered to be a first-round talent by most experts, but he solidified that claim on Sunday by laying down a blazing time in the 40-yard dash.

At a 2016 NFL Combine that featured very few wide receivers even cracking the 4.5 mark, Lee posted a time of 4.43 seconds, which was the fastest among linebackers. Washington’s Travis Feeney wasn’t far behind with 4.50 seconds.

While some of the top players like Myles Jack and Jaylon Smith didn’t participate while rehabbing knee injuries, Reggie Ragland unsurprisingly didn’t stand out with his 4.72 time. Not an overtly athletic linebacker, Ragland ran about where expected and was instead outshined by players like Lee and Georgia’s Leonard Floyd.
