Myles Garrett will ‘hug his parents and eat crawfish’ if picked 1st overall in NFL draft

This sounds like a great plan.

The 2017 NFL draft is now less than a month away, and Texas A&M Aggies defensive end Myles Garrett is expected to have his name called as the No. 1 overall pick by the Cleveland Browns. Having your name called by commissioner Rodger Goodell is a dream shared by college football players across the country, but getting it called first is even more special.

So what will Garrett do if he is called first? Why, he’ll hug his parents and then go back to eating his crawfish, of course.

“If my name’s called first ... I’ll sit there, probably look at my two best friends, laugh, smile at my parents give them a hug. Then I’ll go about eating my crawfish ... and crab.”

This isn’t the first potential No. 1 overall pick to have an affinity for shellfish. Most famously in the 2013 draft, former Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston celebrated his No. 1 pick by eating a delicious snack of crab legs.

SB Nation’s latest mock draft has Garrett going No. 1 overall to the Browns. Garrett even has tried to convince the Cowboys to trade up with Cleveland so he can play in Dallas, with a video he posted for Jerry Jones and the team last month.

He’s a bit of a liability in the run game, but his potential in the pass game was enough for Buffalo Rumblings.

It’s a high-potential pick for a Detroit defense that needs a solid pass rusher.
