Mitchell Trubisky has already had one pretty minor name change since he declared for the NFL draft. Trubisky went by the succinct Mitch during his college career, but added the last three letters during the combine. He did it to be a good son.
Is his name Mitch or Mitchell Trubisky? Maybe just call him ‘Mr. Biscuit’
The NFL QB prospect goes by a lot of different names.

“I mean, if you call me Mitch, that’s alright,” Trubisky said. “I did it for my mom, because she calls me Mitchell. So she’s like, ‘I want people to start calling you Mitchell.’ So I said something yesterday and now people are blowing it out of proportion. But I’ll do that for my mom.”
Trubisky’s high school coach also used to call him “Favre,” for his gunslinging mentality.
But the real name debate actually has to deal with his last name.
The name came from a slip of the tongue by a coach’s family member who spoke too fast and crammed both Trubisky’s first and last names together, producing “Mr. Biscuit.” The next week at practice, the team had some fun with the new moniker, which stuck.

This makes sense on the other hand, too. Mitch may be from Ohio originally, but he played four years of college football squarely in the South. That means he should be well acquainted with biscuits as a staple food group of the region.
Trubisky said he’s a fan of sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits. As perhaps the 2017 NFL draft’s top QB pick, he’s about to have enough money for all the biscuits he could ever want.
