On this week’s Mocking the Draft podcast we executed a dual first-round mock draft, which always adds a different wrinkle into things.
NFL draft 2017: How an OT goes top 10, Gareon Conley fallout, and more on the Mocking the Draft podcast
On this week’s MtD podcast, we do a mock draft with some twists.

Before we get to the mock draft, co-host Matthew Fairburn, Buffalo Bills beat writer for the Syracuse Post-Standard, and I discussed the situation involving Ohio State cornerback Gareon Conley and where his draft status stands.
Conley doesn’t show up in the mock draft at all, but five cornerbacks do. There are some big twists in the mock draft, and they start with the second overall pick. We also run into a situation where an offensive tackle is taken in the first 10 picks by the Los Angeles Chargers.
If there’s a run on defensive backs in the first six picks, the Chargers will be faced with a situation where they take either Alabama defensive lineman Jonathan Allen or whomever they happen to consider the top blocker available this year.
